Jacob Dunn

Jacob Dunn is a Software Engineer whose work centers on InMotion Cloud — cloud platform software, automation, and agentic engineering — alongside W3 Total Cache and BoldGrid’s plugins, themes, systems, and services. For much of his tenure he worked almost exclusively on W3 Total Cache, shipping features, fixes, and releases for one of the most widely used WordPress performance plugins.

He has been with BoldGrid / InMotion product development since 2021, with a substantial track record across WordPress performance and caching through W3 Total Cache; open-source plugin development and maintenance; and security-focused work on BoldGrid products when audits surface vulnerabilities that need prompt remediation. After a recent company restructuring, his primary focus shifted to cloud and agentic engineering, while he remains hands-on with BoldGrid and W3 Total Cache where product and security priorities demand it.

When he writes for InMotion Cloud, it is from the perspective of an engineer who has spent years shipping and maintaining production WordPress tooling at scale — and who now builds and operates cloud platform software with that same practical lens. Away from the keyboard, he enjoys swimming, video gaming, camping, paintball, and time with his daughter.
