HOW TO TEST YOUR CONNECTION TO INMOTION CLOUD
How to Test Your Connection to InMotion Cloud.
You do not need command-line scripts to measure cloud latency. Use free browser-based ping tools like Globalping and PerfOps to test your connection from Colombia—or any country where your users operate—directly against InMotion Cloud in Ashburn, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, and Singapore.
Or learn how to find Azure, AWS, and Google IPs
- Runs directly in your browser — no terminal or Python script needed
- Verified test IPs for Ashburn, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, and Singapore
- Side-by-side city-matched IPs for Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
- Step-by-step instructions to verify city geolocation before testing
Run a ping test in your browser in four steps
Instead of running scripts in a terminal, use Globalping (https://globalping.io/network-tools/ping-from-colombia) or PerfOps (https://perfops.net/ping-from-colombia) to measure round-trip latency from real network probes in Colombia or anywhere in the world.
- 1
Open Globalping or PerfOps
Open https://globalping.io/network-tools/ping-from-colombia or https://perfops.net/ping-from-colombia in your browser. Both pages pre-select Colombia as the test origin (and let you switch to any country or city).
- 2
Paste an InMotion Cloud IP
Copy one of our four regional IP addresses from the table below—such as 70.39.150.2 (Ashburn, VA), 74.124.210.242 (Los Angeles, CA), 213.165.240.1 (Amsterdam), or 173.231.219.1 (Singapore)—into the target field.
- 3
Click Run and record the ping
Run the test and look at the average round-trip time in milliseconds (ms). Lower numbers mean faster response times. From Colombia, Ashburn averages ~75 ms while Los Angeles averages ~116 ms.
- 4
Compare with Azure, AWS, or Google
Paste the city- or state-matched IP address for Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud from the same row of the table below and run the test again to compare providers apples-to-apples.
Two free websites for testing ping from Colombia
Both Globalping and PerfOps run live ICMP ping and traceroute tests from probes hosted inside Colombian telecom networks (including Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali) right in your browser.
EXAMPLE 01 · GLOBALPING
GLOBALPING.IO/NETWORK-TOOLS/PING-FROM-COLOMBIA
Tests multiple Colombian cities and ISPs at once (Bogotá, Medellín, Cali) and displays minimum, average, and maximum ping times for each probe.
EXAMPLE 02 · PERFOPS
PERFOPS.NET/PING-FROM-COLOMBIA
Provides an instant browser-based ping summary across Colombian networks so you can compare Ashburn, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, and Singapore in seconds.
Ping test IP addresses for InMotion Cloud, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
Every IP address below has been city-verified with IP geolocation (ipinfo.io / ipwho.is) and tested to respond to standard browser-based ICMP and TCP ping tools (Globalping and PerfOps). Copy any row to compare InMotion Cloud against Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud in the same city or state.

How to find and city-check an IP for Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
When comparing cloud data centers, never ping a provider’s main website (such as azure.microsoft.com, aws.amazon.com, or cloud.google.com). Those domains use Anycast CDNs that answer from a local edge server in your own country instead of the data center region. Here is how to find a real regional IP and verify its city before testing.
How to find an Azure regional IP
Look up a regional Azure service hostname such as <region>.tts.speech.microsoft.com or <region>.api.cognitive.microsoft.com (using eastus for Ashburn/Virginia, westus for San Jose/California, westeurope for Amsterdam, or southeastasia for Singapore), or download Microsoft’s official ServiceTags_Public JSON file. We verified 135.222.38.13 (Virginia), 172.185.107.136 (San Jose, CA), 20.61.103.89 (Amsterdam), and 20.43.132.24 (Singapore).
How to find an AWS regional IP
Resolve a regional AWS endpoint such as dynamodb.<region>.amazonaws.com or ec2.<region>.amazonaws.com (using us-east-1 for Ashburn, VA, us-west-1 for San Jose, CA, eu-central-1 for Frankfurt, or ap-southeast-1 for Singapore), or filter https://ip-ranges.amazonaws.com/ip-ranges.json by region. Unlike many EC2 instances that block ping, AWS regional DynamoDB endpoints respond to standard browser ICMP ping.
How to find a Google Cloud regional IP
Open Google’s official IP range list at https://www.gstatic.com/ipranges/cloud.json and filter by scope: us-east4 (Ashburn, VA), us-west2 (Los Angeles, CA), europe-west4 (Netherlands), or asia-southeast1 (Singapore). Pick the .1 address of a 34.x.x.0 prefix in that scope—such as 34.85.128.1 (us-east4), 34.104.64.1 (Los Angeles), 34.3.80.1 (Netherlands), or 34.87.0.1 (Singapore).
Always check the city or state before relying on an IP
Before using any IP address for a benchmark, check its physical location at https://ipinfo.io/<ip> or https://ipwho.is/<ip> to confirm the city or state matches the data center region you are comparing (for example, Ashburn/Virginia, Los Angeles/San Jose in California, Amsterdam/Netherlands, or Singapore). If a ping from Colombia to a US data center reports under 15 ms, you are hitting a local Bogotá CDN edge rather than the US data center.
